My colleague Jeremy Gans and I have written a book on the weird and wonderful history of animals and the law. Chapters One and Two have discussion of private law issues (property in animals, tortious animals) and Chapter 6 has a discussion of trusts for animals. Also features killer pigs of 14th C France.
I thought it might be of interest to at least some people on this list (several list members gave me tips re cases/articles/statutes - you’re duly thanked!).
It’s not stocked in overseas bookstores, but apparently you can order it from the publisher or from Amazon, Book Depository etc.
